Science Builders (Ages 7–8)
Course Overview
An 18-week virtual program where kids explore matter, energy, life, Earth, and space through fun, hands-on science. Every class sparks curiosity and builds confidence in asking questions, experimenting, and thinking like a scientist.
Outcome:
By the end, students will have a solid science foundation and proudly complete their first mini science fair project.

Week 1: What is Science? Asking questions & making observations
Week 2: Tools of Science – measuring, recording, and exploring like scientists
Week 3: States of Matter – solids, liquids, and gases
Week 4: Properties of Matter – texture, flexibility, dissolving
Week 5: Energy – light, heat, and sound in action
Week 6: Motion & Forces – push, pull, gravity, and magnets
Week 7: Living vs. Nonliving – what makes something alive?
Week 8: Plants – parts, needs, and growth
Week 9: Animals – groups, habitats, and adaptations
Week 10: Life Cycles – frogs, butterflies, and plants
Week 11: Food Chains – how living things depend on each other
Week 12: Weather & Seasons – patterns we see every day
Week 13: The Water Cycle – evaporation, condensation, precipitation
Week 14: Earth’s Surface – rocks, soil, and landforms
Week 15: Natural Resources – caring for Earth’s treasures
Week 16: Patterns in the Sky – sun, moon, and day/night
Week 17: Planning a Mini Science Project – asking questions & testing ideas
Week 18: Science Showcase – students present their projects
